What is the difference between partner subclass 309 visa and Partner visa subclass 100 visa?
Partner subclass 309 visa lets you stay until the decision for your partner visa subclass 100 is made.
How much time it takes to process partner visa application?
For a 309 – Provisional visa at present stage it takes approximately anywhere between 11 months to 16 months to be processed and for 100-Permanent visa it can take up to 13 months.
What will happen to my existing visa which is expiring soon once I ally for partner visa?
Depending on the visa you are on, if you are eligible to apply onshore partner visa, in most of the cases you will be eligible for a bridging visa that will allow you to stay until the decision of partner visa is made.
What are the main evidence required for partner visa?
To apply for partner visa, you must be married or in a de facto relationship with an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen. Your sponsor also needs to be meet the eligibility criteria.
To name the few requirements, you should also be able to fulfil health, character requirements, should not have any debts owed to the Australian government. You should be able to demonstrate that you have an ongoing and genuine relationship with your spouse which can be demonstrated through mutual financial, social, household and family commitments

Can my partner/family accompany me to Australia?
Yes, they can accompany you or join you later as a subsequent entrant if they were declared in the student visa application with an exception if they became your family member after your student visa was granted.
What information would be required for a subsequent entrant on dependant visa?
For a subsequent entrant, following information would be required : an identity proof, proof of relationship, financial capacity information, health insurance, evidence of studies, criteria to be a genuine temporary entrant, health requirements. Please note that further information could potentially be required depending on the circumstances.

Am I eligible for parent visa?
You could potentially be eligible for parent visa if:
- You have a child who is an Australian citizen or a Australian permanent resident
- Sponsor has been living in Australia lawfully for more than 2 years in Australia before you lodge a visa and is over 18 years old with certain exceptions.
- Meet a Balance of Family test criteria
- Meet health and character requirements
- Have assurance of support
For how long can I stay in Australia on a parent category visa?
There are different categories in parent visa. In case if you apply for a temporary resident visa, you can stay in Australia for up to 2 years and in case if you apply for an Australian permanent resident visa, you can stay permanently.
Which is the best option for me from various parent visas?
There are various options available under parent visa categories and will depend on your individual circumstances and age of the parents. As an example, you apply for a parent visa subclass 103, it could take 30 years to process the application. In case if you apply for Contributory Parent Visa subclass 173 or subclass you would be charged higher visa processing fee but the processing time will be faster.
Can I apply for a Contributory Parent (Temporary) visa and later apply for Permanent Contributory Parent visa?
Yes, you can apply for Permanent Contributory Parent visa – subclass 143 before the temporary visa expires if you are in Australia but it is suggested to contact Australian Migration Academy to discuss your unique circumstances further.

How can I check if I am eligible for skilled migration?
You can provide us with all the details on Online Assessment Form, and we can conduct free assessment if you may potentially be eligible to apply for skilled migration or not.
What are the steps involved to apply for a Skilled Migration Visa?
The first step is to submit an Expression of Interest(EOI) however before submitting an EOI you should check visa requirements and select the visa subclass. This is the first step forward so you should be putting in best foot forward. We at Australian Migration Academy can assist you with this step.
In case if you are successful, the second step would be an invitation to apply for skilled migration visa with in 60 days. Please note that each visa has different eligibility requirements. Prior to receiving invitation to apply a valid skill assessment is required by the relevant assessing authority for your nominated occupation.
I have recently graduated, what options are available for me?
In case if you have recently graduated from an Australian education institution and wish to work in Australia, you might be eligible for Temporary Graduate visa subclass 485. What is the difference between visa sub class 189 and visa sub class 190?
